Xiaomi SU7 Ultra – discover the prototype of an electric car
Do you like super-fast cars? We have great news for you! During the annual speech by Lei Jun, CEO and founder of Xiaomi, a fully carbon Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype was unexpectedly revealed. What did we learn? Stay with us!
Hypercar-level power
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is the first car in history equipped with the newly announced HyperEngine V8 motors. This prototype features three electric motors developed by Xiaomi, including two V8 units and one V6, which together reach an incredible 1548 HP. The maximum motor speed is 27,200 rpm, and peak torque reaches 635 Nm, making it the most powerful motor ever created by Xiaomi engineers. SU7 Ultra accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.97 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 5.97 seconds, and reaches 300 km/h in just 15 seconds. The car’s top speed is 350 km/h — thanks in part to its low weight of under 1900 kg.
Next-generation battery cells
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric car features a CATL Qilin 2.0 battery with 1330 kW of power, designed especially for racing cars — meaning that even at 20% charge, the battery still delivers up to 880 kW of output. It’s worth noting that Qilin batteries use LFP (lithium iron phosphate) technology. The SU7 Ultra charges at 897 V, and thanks to a 5.2 C charging rate, it can be fully charged in under 12 minutes!
Brakes you can rely on
In addition to its incredible acceleration and impressive battery, Xiaomi also ensured excellent braking performance and safety. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype is equipped with AP Racing brakes designed for motorsport, featuring six-piston forged calipers on both the front and rear, as well as brake pads capable of withstanding temperatures over 800℃. What’s more, the SU7 Ultra uses a reverse motor for regenerative braking, providing up to 0.6 G of braking force recovery, and the braking distance from 100 to 0 km/h is just 25 meters.
