The Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are here! New smartphones that will impress
The Polish mobile technology market has just been flooded by a wave of hot lava. Two of the latest and most anticipated devices of the year have officially gone on sale – Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. The legendary “T” series has been famous for years for treating the competition without mercy. Its mission? To offer jaw-dropping specifications at a price that does not force you to take out a loan for several months. This time, however, Xiaomi engineers have outdone themselves, challenging existing standards.
The introduction of space-age power cells with massive capacities, pOLED screens as bright as the summer sun, and a powerful dose of artificial intelligence directly from Google means these new products are impossible to ignore. We take the gloves off and check exactly what these flagships of a new era have inside!

pOLED screens: A visual feast for demanding users
Forget faded colors and squinting on a sunny day. Xiaomi has used brilliant pOLED panels in both models, generating images with perfect blacks and a vivid quality previously known only from the most expensive smartphones on the market. The displays can produce more than 68 billion colors with full coverage of the cinematic DCI-P3 palette. Netflix and YouTube fans will be delighted – full support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ turns the phone into a pocket cinema room.
The real ace up the sleeve, however, is the maximum brightness, which reaches a staggering 3500 nits at peak. Whether you are standing on a beach at noon or gaming under a strong lamp, the screen remains perfectly readable.
Interestingly, both models differ strongly in their design philosophy:
• Xiaomi 17T Pro is a true giant. The 6.83-inch display (2772 × 1280 px) refreshes the image at up to 144 Hz. It is absolute paradise for gamers, where every millisecond of advantage matters.
• Xiaomi 17T focuses on greater handiness. The screen here is 6.59 inches (2756 × 1268 px) with a 120 Hz refresh rate. However, the Pro variant has a powerful advantage for your health – ultra-high PWM 3840 Hz dimming. Thanks to this, the screen does not flicker at low brightness, and your eyes will not tire even during a nighttime series marathon.
The highest league is confirmed by TÜV Rheinland certificates – the user’s eyesight is protected here at every step.
The power of Google Gemini AI and ruthless performance
Under the hood of the new series, amazing things are happening. Xiaomi has abandoned compromises, choosing the most advanced MediaTek chips, lightning-fast LPDDR5X RAM and blazing-fast UFS 4.1 storage.
In the base Xiaomi 17T Pro, a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor made in space-age 3 nm technology has been implemented. This unit literally devours the most demanding 3D games without breaking a sweat. Meanwhile, in the Xiaomi 17T we find an optimized 4-nanometer Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip combined with Mali G720 graphics.
However, raw power is only half the success. The real magic lies in the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 software (in the Pro version already based on Android 16). The system is packed with intelligent features integrated directly with the Google Gemini AI engine. You get a toolkit that sounded like science fiction just a few years ago:
• AI Assistant and AI Writing: The smartphone will compose a business email for you or summarize a long article.
• AI Translation and Interpretation: Talk to foreigners live – the phone will translate their words on the fly.
• AI Eraser and AI Videos: Did a random passerby ruin the perfect shot? One tap and AI removes them from the photo, perfectly reconstructing the background.
A silicon-carbon knockout in battery life
Battery life is usually the weakest point of modern phones. Xiaomi decided to change this once and for all by introducing innovative silicon-carbon cells. They have a gigantic energy density, thanks to which the smartphones remain slim while offering capacities the competition can only dream of in nightmares.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro model is an absolute monster with a 7000 mAh battery. With normal use, you will see the charger once every 3 days! When you do run out of energy, you can feed it wired at 100 W or wirelessly at 50 W.
The Xiaomi 17T version still hides an impressive 6500 mAh, which you can charge wired at 67 W (in this model, the manufacturer has abandoned inductive charging).
Premium touches, meaning hardware without flaws
The Xiaomi 17T series are full-fledged “tanks” – the IP68 certificate guarantees that the smartphones will survive a heavy downpour or an accidental dip in the pool. Powerful, rich stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos® technology take care of sound quality, while triple microphones ensure that during calls in a noisy city your voice is crystal clear. Importantly, the 17T model adds support for the latest, super-fast Wi-Fi 7 standard as a bonus.
In the factory sets, apart from the device itself, you will find everything needed to get started: a USB-C cable, a SIM tray pin and full warranty documentation.

Verdict: Which smartphone will land in your pocket?
The choice is not obvious at all. Xiaomi 17T Pro tempts with a huge 144 Hz screen, a gigantic 7000 mAh battery and a full charging package (including wireless). It is an uncompromising machine for gamers and technology fans. In turn, Xiaomi 17T is a more refined proposition – lighter, better fitting in the hand, caring for eyesight thanks to PWM 3840 Hz and armed with powerful AI Zoom 120x for mobile photography enthusiasts. One thing is certain: regardless of your choice, both smartphones will impress you from the first launch! By the way, to access all app features, turn on activity in Gemini apps.
