Change the application download destination
In order to make it possible to save apps to a portable card, you will need to change your phone's settings. This involves changing the location to which programs will be downloaded. This may sound complicated, but is actually very simple. To do this, follow the instructions below. Keep in mind, however, that by enabling the programmer's options and editing your phone's settings, you may inadvertently reduce the efficiency of the system or interfere with the proper operation of applications. By making changes, you do so at your own risk.
- Go to Settings/phone and tap your finger four times on the box that says MIUI Version. After this sequence of actions, a message should appear on your screen: You are a developer or Alright, you are already a developer. Congratulations, the first step is behind you.
- Now in the Phone Settings you will find additional options for changes. To find them, go back to the main Settings screen, scroll the screen to the very bottom and select Additional Settings/Programmer Options. Enable Developer Options by clicking the checkmark.
- In the Applications section, find the Force the ability to save applications and enable it by moving the checkmark. This action will now make almost any program writable on portable storage media.
