How to export contacts on a Xiaomi phone?
First step – Open the Contacts app
Unlock your smartphone and open the Google “Contacts” app. You’ll find it in the “Google” folder or in the app drawer.
What’s next?
If you can see your contact list, you’re on the right track! Take a look at the bottom of the screen — you’ll notice two categories. The first one is “Contacts” and the second is “Fix & manage”. Select the second option.
Transfer contacts to the SIM card
You now have two options. If you want to move numbers from your phone to the SIM card, choose the tile labeled “Export to file” and decide whether the data should be saved to your Google account (where your contacts can also be stored) or to your SIM card. To export to the SIM, select it and confirm the operation using the “Export to .vcf file” button. Done — all information is now safely stored on your SIM card.
From the SIM card to your POCO, Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone
To transfer saved numbers from a SIM card to your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO phone, go back to the previous step. After selecting the “Fix & manage” tab, tap the icon labeled “Import from SIM”. Using the checklist, you can easily verify which contacts you need and which ones you can skip. When you decide which data you want to keep, tap “Import”. That’s it!
Import and export from your Google account
When you are in the “Fix & manage” panel, you can export your contacts to a file and transfer them to your Google account. It’s worth doing because if your smartphone is stolen, lost, or damaged, you may lose access to the data stored on it. Contacts transferred to your Google account will remain there as long as you want.
