Xiaomi smartphone - you search, we help you choose
In our last article we prepared for you a comparison of the most popular smartphone models in the Redmi and Redmi Note series.
Today, we will be taking Xiaomi phones under the microscope. We will take a closer look at the silhouette of the top model Xiaomi 13 Pro, the previous flagship, the Xiaomi 12 and the "lite" version, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. We will compare them, taking into account the most important features, i.e. the camera and its capabilities, the processor, the screen and display, the battery and charging functions, and the design - because it is clear that it is the inside that counts, but each of us wants to have a small electronic masterpiece in our hands 🥰 Enjoy the read!
Camera
For some time now, it has been the camera on the phone that has played a leading role when it comes to the photographic equipment we take with us on holiday. Heavy SLR cameras, several lenses, a tripod and filters are increasingly being left on the shelf at home, while memories of seaside or mountain climbing are captured on the phone. It is therefore important that the camera we have is of the highest quality.
And that is exactly what is found in the Xiaomi 13 Pro. A professional optical lens system from the renowned Leica company is present on board this phone. The 1-inch main camera allows for incredibly high light transmission, which translates into phenomenal photos in all lighting conditions. The camera with floating telephoto lens (incidentally inspired by the iconic Leica Noctilux-M 75 f/1.25 ASPH) is ideal for portrait photography. Photos of family events will now be as professional as ever. And let's not forget the ultra-wide-angle camera for impressive holiday frames, as well as professional photographic modes such as Leica Authentic Look for high contrasts or Leica Vibrant Look to bring images to life.
The Xiaomi 12 is a smartphone ideal for people who love to record video footage. The camera features all-new focus technology with a learning algorithm and motion tracking. This will make moving objects even clearer, both day and night. Artificial intelligence and state-of-the-art image processing technology, will automatically brighten the recorded scene and keep the focus and detail even when filming after dark.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is a treat for all vloggers. A Vlog mode has been created especially for them, which, together with 7 new templates, will allow them to create entertaining and interesting travel content. Special effects such as time lapse, slow shutter or parallel world will bring videos to a newer, even more attractive level.
Processor
Let's now take a look inside our smartphones to see what components they are supported by.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro uses the top-of-the-line Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 processor, delivering improved performance and lower power consumption with high energy efficiency, all of which add up to countless benefits in everyday smartphone use.
The Xiaomi 12 boasts Snapdragon® 8 Gen 1. This state-of-the-art chipset, made using the 4nm technology process, delivers ultra-fast speeds whether you're taking photos, playing your favourite games, or perhaps watching movies or surfing the web.
The Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 778G chip that is present on board the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE allows you to take on any challenge at full speed. Every action you perform on this smartphone will be smooth and fast.
Screen and display
We stare at our phone screen every day. We browse photos, watch videos, search for inspiration online or work. The ideal display should be fully compatible with our expectations - let's check whether the screens of the phones described are so.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro features a stunning WQHD+ 6.73" AMOLED display that will allow you to enjoy photos, videos and games to the fullest, thanks to its 3200x1440 resolution. The OLED panel it features covers the P3 colour gamut, which translates into the full richness of the colours presented. The AdaptiveSync Pro display, powered by state-of-the-art LTPO technology, achieves a refresh rate of 120Hz, ensuring smooth application performance and greater efficiency of the hardware in use.
The 6.28" AMOLED display on the Xiaomi 12 is a true work of art. It is hard to accuse it of anything when we talk about colour clarity and fluidity. With a more accurate and wider colour gamut and more natural transitions between colours, the screen perfectly reproduces the richness of colours, making every image a delight for the eyes and a visual feast for the senses.
With the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, you can explore the world on the clear 6.55" AMOLED screen. The colours are more vivid, making viewing photos or colourful content even more enjoyable. The Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection used means you no longer have to worry about the screen - it will be more durable, longer lasting and safer.
Battery and charging
You know that feeling when you glance at your phone and it's alarmingly low on battery? Yes, we know them too. Let's find out how big batteries smartphones are equipped with, what they'll last for and how quickly they recharge.
On the Xiaomi 13 Pro we find a 4820mAh battery. It's not the most powerful unit on the market, but we have something to compensate for that. Xiaomi's 120W HyperCharge technology will allow it to charge to full in... 19 minutes 🤯 Impressive!
Tucked away in the Xiaomi 12's casing is a powerful and fast-charging 4500mAh cell. The phone features 67W wired charging - meaning you'll see 100% battery in just 39 minutes. That's the perfect time to relax with an episode of your favourite TV series. But that's not all - we can also charge the phone traditionally with a cable, only 14 minutes longer than using the wireless method.
The 4250mAh battery used in the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is the smallest unit among the phones in question. However, it will easily allow up to 16 hours of video playback or up to 140 hours of listening to your favourite music. The 33W fast charging will allow the battery to return to full strength in a little over an hour.
Design
And for those who also care about what's on the outside, we take a look at the design of our phones. And there is a lot to look at - a little encouragement 😍
The case on the Xiaomi 13 Pro is curved at both the back and front. The back is covered with a medical-grade bioceramic material that perfectly combines professionalism, durability and elegance into a single designer unit. The front of the phone is protected from damage by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Your phone is therefore not only top-notch beautiful, but also effectively protected.
Weighing 180g and measuring just 69.9mm wide, the Xiaomi 12 uses advanced technology to provide an even and lightweight grip. The surface of the phone has been symmetrically curved to give a rounded and delicate appearance. The simple geometric design is sophisticated and refined to the smallest detail. Using this phone is a feast for all the senses.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is elegance in every detail. Light as a feather (158 g) and slim as a gazelle (6.81 mm), it impresses with every detail. Its matte finish minimises fingerprint marks, so the phone is always just as perfect. The almost flat camera module and the symmetrical and narrow bezels make the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE an ideal choice for people for whom the appearance of a smartphone is one of the most important factors in their choice.
As I'm sure you've noticed yourself, each of the phones presented has its own strengths. The flagship Xiaomi 13 Pro is a master of photography, the 12 version is ideal for fans of filming, and the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE stands out for its unbeatable design. Which you choose is entirely up to you and your preferences. If you would like to find out about other models, take a look here. We wish you the best of luck and invite you to go shopping! 🛒
