Waiting for a new version of Android is always exciting for technology lovers, and even more so for users of Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones. Xiaomi has surprised again, sparking the imagination of brand fans with the latest version of its software overlay – MIUI 15. Previous versions of the system are known for their unique and elegant interface. Version 15 is no exception, offering a myriad of features and improvements. While details of MIUI 15's capabilities have yet to be revealed, some of the features of Androida 14, on which the latest MIUI overlay runs, were announced at Google's I/O 2023 conference.
What do we know about the new MIUI 15 features?
Xiaomi devotees around the world will no doubt be pleased to see what MIUI 15 brings, with the brand focused on continuing to innovate and improve the user experience. Here's what's to come in the latest system overlay:
• MIUI 15 will be able to support Ultra HDR images. This will provide photos with better brightness, contrast and colour gamut and give them a more realistic look. Photos will be able to be saved and viewed later with 10-bit HDR on Android 14 devices.
• The overlay will improve privacy and security options and enable limited data sharing with third-party apps.
• The updated Material You design will improve the MIUI 15 interface, adding dynamic themes and making the overlay even prettier and more user-friendly.
• A back arrow will appear on the user interface. If gesture navigation is active on your device, this arrow will be visible when you swipe left or right.
Unfortunately, at this point we have no official confirmation of the above features. Please also bear in mind that some of them may be reserved for the Chinese MIUI, and owners of the global version of the system will have to do without. There is nothing to do but wait impatiently for further information.
